Xiaomi’s second car, YU7, finally made its official appearance.

Just last night, the new car declaration column of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in official website released a batch of new car declaration announcements, including high-definition photos of Xiaomi YU7.

Unlike Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi YU7 is positioned as a medium and large pure electric SUV. In terms of design, the design details are similar to those of Xiaomi SU7, such as the shape of the front of the car and the headlights. If the car body is covered, it is difficult to tell whether it is SU7 or YU7.

However, starting from the A-pillar backwards, the design of this car is obviously different.

In view of the positioning of SUV, the body of YU7 is higher, which can make the head space in the car more abundant. The full rear wheel arch is very similar to Porsche "frog leg", with personality and movement.

The new car adopts pop-up door handles, and a brand-new wheel hub shape is designed. There are four kinds for different configurations to choose from. The laser radar is still installed on the roof, indicating that the general direction of Xiaomi’s intelligent driving has not changed.

The rear of the new car is still a ring-shaped semi-closed through LED taillight, which is larger and more recognizable than SU7, making the visual center of gravity of the rear more upward.

Although the interior has not yet been announced, referring to the spy photos that flowed out before and the central control of Xiaomi SU7, the high probability is still the original design style, and only some details are improved. It is possible to install a penetrating large screen under the windshield of the bridge, taking into account the display functions of instruments, navigation and other information.

The official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also discloses the power parameters of Xiaomi YU7: the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the dual-motor model is 220/288kW, the maximum comprehensive power is 508kW and the maximum speed is 253km/h.. The battery will be equipped with ternary lithium batteries produced in Jiangsu era.

It is estimated that the direct competitor of Xiaomi YU7 is Tesla Model Y, and its price will be between 250,000 and 350,000 yuan. In June/July next year, Xiaomi YU7 will be listed, just in time for the listing of the new Model Y. The two cars will face the competition directly, and the answer will be revealed in half a year.
