On January 8th, BYD officially went on the market in summer, and the new car launched a total of four models at a price of 249,800-309,800 yuan. The new car is positioned as a medium-sized and large-sized hybrid MPV, with a 7-seat layout and equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology. It was born in a new generation of hybrid vehicle platform, and the whole system comes standard with "Eye of the God" high-level intelligent driving.

BYD’s front face in summer inherits the "Dragon Face" design of BYD dynasty family, and the dot-matrix mesh is like Long Lin. The left and right blackened headlights are connected by family-owned chrome-plated decorative strips, and the word "Summer" is printed in the middle. The slender air inlets on both sides show a low wind resistance and dynamic side.

The side of the new car presents a slender posture as a whole, and a dynamic waistline runs through the whole car body, showing a three-dimensional profile. At the same time, the chrome trim strips on the upper and lower doors and the large-size rims with multiple spokes show a sense of advanced. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5145/1970/1805mm, the wheelbase is 3045mm and the minimum turning radius is 5.7 meters. Compared with, the length of the car is 105mm shorter, the width is increased by 10mm, the height is reduced by 95mm, and the wheelbase is shortened by 65 mm. The rear electric side sliding door of the new car is not small in size, and adopts hidden slide rails. The new car comes standard with double-layer sound insulation glass in the front and rear rows and privacy glass in the middle and rear rows.

The tail of the vehicle is a classic through taillight style of the dynasty family, which shows a three-dimensional Chinese knot style after lighting. BYD Summer LOGO was used at the rear of the car. The new car is available in four colors: yuanshanqing, jianyao purple, runyubai and xuankong black. The new car is also equipped with AR projection automatic door opening function, which can open the side sliding door and tailgate by tapping the flashing icon with your foot, especially for families with children. The new car comes standard with electric side sliding doors, tailgates and NFC car keys.

As for the interior, the new car adopts the new generation design language of the dynasty family, which is stable and generous as a whole. The interior has two color schemes: Wan Brown+Runmi, Yuan Shan Dai+Runmi. The new car is equipped with an embedded instrument panel, a co-pilot screen and a suspended central control screen, and the rear row is also equipped with a ceiling screen. The top model adopts the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit, which supports the three-screen audio-visual linkage of the central control screen, the co-pilot screen and the central ceiling screen, and can be externally connected with gamepads and AR glasses, so that the whole family can watch movies, play games and karaoke together. The new car also provides streaming media rearview mirror, active fragrance system, steering wheel heating and 50W wireless charging.

BYD Summer is also equipped with a self-developed "Disheng" 28 speaker sound system for the first time, which supports panoramic sound. The front and middle rows of seats are equipped with Hi-Fi music headrests, which can realize mutual interference between the seats. In addition, the three rows of subwoofers in summer can be disassembled into outdoor Bluetooth speakers, which can be automatically charged in the car for up to 9 hours, and can also be connected with a microphone to facilitate outdoor camping.

The new car seat adopts the classic layout of 2+2+3. In summer, Nappa leather seats are used in the front row and middle row, which provide ventilation, heating and memory functions. In terms of intelligent driving, BYD’s summer system comes standard with 5R12V "Eye of the God" DiPilot 100 high-order intelligent driving assistance system, which adopts a full-stack self-developed vehicle-mounted computing platform and will be officially launched by OTA in February. It adopts pure vision mode, including 8 million three-eye cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 12 high-definition cameras, with a total of 29 sensors in the whole vehicle. Provide a number of driving assistance functions including expressway navigation, intelligent parking assistance, emergency braking and so on. Support shifting lever to change lanes, traffic light reminder, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning and blind spot monitoring.
